I enjoyed spending my day in the nice sun watching racing and diving pigs, looking at cats, watching horses in the main arena, checking out the awesome flower arrangements, strolling through pavillion after pavillion of stalls but then of course it was time to go and check out the showbags.
3. A Designer Brands Instant Brow Volumiser. I don't know what this is or how to use this so I doubt that I will use it but all well.
The second show bag that I bought was the The Style Press Co. for only $15!
This may make me sound childish, but I spent a very long time deciding which show bag I wanted and if I even really wanted one. That may have made me sound like a little child but I think it showed the maturity of my decisions over the past few years. In the past few years I have felt that I must buy a show bag just for the sake of having a show bag but this year I was very near to walking out of the show without one. I didn't even want to go into the show bag hall to begin with, just look at the animals, artworks and the many stalls, but I was soon dragged into the pavilion and now I am grateful for being so. I was thinking I would get the Girlfriend show bag or the Model Co. one but I couldn't make up my mind (get it, make-up and models??). It was only when I decided to go for a very final look at the end of the day that I made a wonderful discovery. I soon stumbled upon a different set of sophisticated, older magazines. At the show there are hundreds of childrens show bags and heaps of food show bags and a fair few cheapies and the odd rip-off, but there is only ever a handful of show bags for young adults and adults. In the back corner, there was a stall that had different show bags that I had not seen at any of the other stalls. There were some of the Womens Health and Mens Health bags which I had already seen, but then there were some other such as It Girl , Designer Brands, a Sukin bag, The Style Press Co., even one about tooth care and a few more that I cannot remember.
After only a few minutes sussing out if I liked any of the show bags and thinking about if what was in the show bags was worth the price of the show bag I decided to purchase two. I got a Designer Brands bag and a The Style Press Co. bag. I bought them in a flurry of excitement and later I didn't feel guilty or stupid for buying them which I usually do when I buy things.
The first one I bought was only $20 and was the Designer Brands show bag.
It contains: 1. A Designer Brands hot pink tote bag with a black and white handle.
2. A 48 mineral Eye Shadow Palette. This was what made me buy this show bag. The bag was a supporting factor but it was the palette that won me over. It has 48 shades which are all super pigmented and in an amazing range of colours. On the packet it says that it is a Designer Brands Signature Range palette, and ln the back it says: Indulge in Colour with your new Designer Brands 48 Mineral Eye Shadow Palette. Create the latest fashion looks with Designer Brands 48 Mineral Eye Shadow Palette. With its wide variety of sheds in a highly pigmented, long-lasting formula, your next creative look is just a few strokes away! It has a really beautiful hard plastic case around the shadows and two brushes and a good quality mirror (none of that flimsy, distorted image stuff).
4. A $10 off Designer Brands Online Only voucher. I have never been on the Designer Brands website but I am excited to go and find out.
5. A Designer Beauty magazine with "Make-Up Hots Tips" and "Hollywood Beauty" and Weekly Give Away prizes.
6. A Designer Brands Moisturising Lipstick in 'Lilac Mist' (shade 446). I love to wear lipstick, especially pink ones but I always find I get really dry, sore, cracked lips after but this one says that it is a "Moisturising Lipstick" so hopefully I won't get that with this one.
7. A Designer Brands Diamond Glaze Nail Enamel in the colour 'Blackest Black' (shade 190). I amnot sure what looks require black nail polish, but it is always useful to have just in case.
8. A Designer Brands Eyeliner Pencil or Kohl in 'Black' (shade 631). I don't think I have ever used eyeliner properly, but it's never too late to start.
9.A Designer Brands Outrageous Volume Mascara in 'Blackout' (shade 461). I always need mascara and this is a real good quality one.
It contains:
1. A Tote Bag in a peachy colour with a darker peach on the bottom and a creamy peach on top. This bag is really nice and it is a bag so I am certain I will find a use for it. The colours also match most of what will be my summer wardrobe (I am still in the process of buying heaps of new clothes because I have grown out of all most all my clothes from last summer).
2. A smooth Peach and White Polka Dot Coloured Scarf. This isn't actually a scarf, I soon realised, it is a snood. So it is a thin snood but I guess you could wear it just like a scarf. 3. Gorgeous sunnies that are black with metal gold on the frames and in the middle. I would have paid the price of this whole show bag and more for these amazing sunglasses.
4. A "My Other Purse Is Prada" purse. I love this purse because it is a simple coin purse but it is stylish.
5. A small packet of Fantastic Delites in Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream flavour. I have never tried these so I am excited to see if I like them.
6. A black floppy sun hat. I love this hat because it if perfect for when you are down at the beach doing some sun tanning and you need a hat to cover your face. Also it does have a massive brim so if you are outdoors sitting reading then it shades the book because those white pages can get really bright in the direct sunlight.
7. A box of Higher Living Vitality Organic Herb Infusion Naturally Cafeine Free Tea Bags. There is fifteen bags of tea which is described as "Sweet and tangy vitality infusion combines zesty orange peel and green mate with aromatic allspice". I don't drink tea but I will still give them a go.
8. A White Glo Premium Formula Whitening Toothpaste. This is something I can use whenever and that I will always need.
9. Another $10 off Designer Brands Online Only voucher. I really must check out the website.
OMG!! I have just read the terms and conditions down in the bottom corner and discovered that this is already out of date! I bought this only a few days ago and it went off a year ago!!
10. An auburn colour highlight shampoo by Cinta. Don't have the right colour hair unfortunately!
11. A $35 Hello Fresh gift voucher. I am not sure if I will use this because it is just easier to go and get my fruit and veg but I will have to a little nosy on the internet to see if it is worth it. Let me know in the comments if you have used the company before and if it is any good.
12. Another Designer Beauty magazine with "Make-Up Hots Tips" and "Hollywood Beauty" and Weekly Give Away prizes.
13. Two Natralus Paw Paw Ointment sachets. One is a pure gel that soothes damaged skin and one is just a Paw Paw ointment.
14. Okay, now this showbag is looking a bit shifty. I might write a complaint into the company because I got a gift voucher for The Iconic. But it had to be used by 11:59pm AEST on 06.09.2015 and I don't even think the show was on then!!!
15. A Revitanail Keratin Strengthening Serum which "strengthens, protects and hydrates nails".
16. Another Designer Brands Eyeliner Pencil or Kohl in 'Black' (shade 631).
I also took some really cool pictures on my Instant Camera and I will be loading a "how to" post for using a Instax Mini 8 Camera soon as well as some other posts. Go check out my Instagram for some updates and for the additional support.
Keep 'posted' for my next blog post!
Love you all, thank you all soooooo much for reading this.
